Head Coach and Ride Leaders Wanted!
The SRHS MBT is looking for a new head coach and ride leaders for our 24/25 season!
Our new head coach must have excellent abilities to work with and develop our student-athletes at all stages of biking proficiency, demonstrating empathy, compassion and a stoke for the ride! They should be skilled in training mountain biking safety and techniques across all levels of competence, and must get NICA certified. Please review the required responsibilities and qualifications listed below.
Our ride leaders must be at least NICA certified at Level 1, but are not required to attend races. Please see the following link for NICA level requirements. Level 2 preferred to lead rides independently.
Please reach out to bikedawgsmanager@gmail.com to join our coaching team!
We have a passionate parent-led group handling athlete registrations, travel logistics, finances, social media, website updates, and sponsorship. We also have a number of alumni ride leaders, who assist with practice sessions for approximately 15 student-athlete riders. Because of this support our coaches can focus on the fun and rewarding challenge of leading student-athletes development on the bike. While these are volunteer opportunities, expenses related to team activities are covered by team dues, sponsorship and donations.
